| Welcome to Scuba Diving, yes that’s
right you have made your first step into the Underwater World. We
have all at some point marvelled at the beautiful and spectacular
images of pristine Coral Reefs and throngs of Reef Fish displayed
so regularly on programmes such as National Geographic and the Discovery
Channel, but only a select few ever pursue that further.
To firstly dispel some myth's. No, Scuba Diving is not difficult,
Really it's Not. But surely it's Only for the super fit elite? Nope
if you are in good health with a reasonable level of fitness you
too can take up diving. Really? Well I have been told it's really
Dangerous, as long as proper training and procedures are followed
it is NOT. So no you can’t go back to the couch and keep watching
it on TV, we want to take you out there to actually experience it
for yourself in the real Underwater World.
There are several Scuba Diving Training Agencies around the world
all offering Scuba Diver Training, and all differing in their approach.
We offer courses from the PADI system (Professional Association
of Diving Instructors), the worlds largest diver training organisation.
We have been offering their programmes for over 13 years and have
continually found their approach, teaching style and support materials
second to none. Most importantly for you, and us, it is also a very
easy system to learn.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is designed to take you from complete
novice, to competent Underwater Adventurer in about 6 weeks (One
Monday evening per Week). ONot quick enough? No problem, we do an
intensive course over 2 weekends (4 days - 2 classroom and pool
plus a weekends diving). On completion of the course you will be
qualified to dive any where around the world, in conditions equal
to or better than those in which you trained, to a maximum depth
of 18m (12m Junior Open Water Divers) without the need for supervision
from an Instructor. Yes in only a short time you could be out there
travelling your own personal Underwater Journey into a totally new
world.
We train at many venues across the Yorkshire and the Midlands, details
of these can be found in our schedule, but the programme remains
the same. The course is built up from four elements, Self Study;
Classroom; Pool and Open Water Qualifying Dives. Each of these elements
are designed to build up week on week to provide you with the Knowledge,
Skills and Experience you need to make you into a competent, safe
and comfortable Underwater Adventurer.
To reduce the amount of time you need to be classroom based to
a minimum we will utilise the PADI support materials to the maximum.
With the aid of your PADI Open Water Diver Manual you will be able
to absorb the bulk of the required information at a time that suits
you via a Self Study approach. This knowledge will then be reinforced
and reviewed each week in the Classroom, where your PADI Instructor
will continue your Knowledge Development, before moving through
to the Pool. Yes this is a practical hands on Sport and as such
we will get you into the water and start your training straight
away. The individual skills and techniques you will need to learn
in the pool will all be briefed, demonstrated and perfected in small
segments as you work towards your first real Underwater Adventure,
when you experience your first Open Water Dives at the end of the
course.
Throughout the course you will be trained directly by our own
PADI qualified Open Water Instructors, in the highest quality and
exactingly maintained equipment. The course is a fully performance
based programme, so you will only be completing your Open Water
qualifying dives when both you and our Training Team are happy you
are ready, but yes your first Underwater Adventure may be only a
couple of weeks away.
There you go that’s it the PADI Open Water Diver Course really
is that accessible and easy. Our Dive Team are here and waiting,
simply give us a call, drop in or take the plunge and fill in the
booking form and you can begin you own personal underwater journey,
to wherever it takes you …….
